Bisque are pieces made from clay or slip that have been fired in the kiln. Bisque can be painted with glaze and refired to create a durable glassy surface that can hold water and, with a few exceptions, be eaten and drunk from. Bisque can also be painted with acrylic paints and used decoratively.
